I've tried researching but cant seem to find what im looking for. Here(https://ift.tt/2vywUyz) is an album of my current covered patio area. One of the corners does not have a support beam in place. My next door neighbors had to do some work to their fence adjacent to my structure, so when they took their fence down, it left the shiplap wood on my structure loose and flapping, as it was nailed to their fence.I am thinking it would be best to install a new beam in that corner, and affix the shiplap to it, so that I don't have to worry about it being loose, and to be independent of my neighbor, and don't have to sister into their fence.I see that the current beams look like they are just setting on top of the concrete slab. What would be the best way to install a beam in that corner? I saw a video of a metal fence post base anchored to the cement, then slide the beam into it, but it will not look like all the other beams in the structure, and my wife will not like the inconsistent look. Any ways of installing it in the same manner as the original beams? Thanks! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2vrcwPK
