This may sound corny, but one of my central financial goals is to earn enough money so that I can start donating to causes I care about, without it being a huge drain on my ability to save/invest for my future. I would start small, maybe supporting a few of my favorite podcasters on Patreon, and start giving to larger organizations as my income grew.
I’m curious at what income level you all started regularly giving to charity, and what portion of your income you felt comfortable giving. I’m sure this varies a lot but it would be interesting to hear from different people’s experiences.
