What's up, people. After an unsuccessful several-year attempt at a lifestyle I didn't want (yaaaay social pressure!), I'm currently living at my dad's again to save money and get a car. Thankfully, this scenario has caused me to fully realize the lifestyle I want, and I'm trying to solidify a plan now so that when I have a car and plenty of funds I'll be good to go.
I make half of my income from home, and the other half from part-time minimum wage work, so the local job market is irrelevant because restaurant/delivery/retail jobs are everywhere. I'm a recluse, I spend a majority of my time alone either making music or in nature, so night-life and other social factors are also pretty irrelevant. Being from rural-ish Alabama, I'm used to super cheap rent (3br house for $500/month) and I'd love to find somewhere with similar costs (duh).
((Sidenote: you may think "Okay well why not stay in Alabama?" but I've traveled quite a bit at this point, both inside and outside the States, and I can confidently say that this area of the world is not for me. Lol))
I'm trying to think of more to add but idk I'm a simple guy with simple needs. Really I'm just looking for a change in scenery. I love cooler weather. And also mountains and big cities, I just really enjoy life more when I have access to beautiful views. I'm not very social so when I don't have nature I spend an unhealthy amount of time indoors haha. I was looking at small towns around Denver/Fort Collins/CO Springs but from what I see their rent isn't much less than in the cities. So, any recommendations? Or general things to consider while planning? Any input is appreciated
