Heads up...I’m super new to this DIY stuff and in way over my head so apologies up front for any whiplash you may get from shaking your head in dismay! So...I decided to paint my dining room and kitchen. When I started to sand the horrible glossy paint, it started to peel. An hour later, it was all peeled off to the drywall (this stuff came of in full sheets...it’s like I couldn’t stop myself)...mostly. There is one wall that the paint seems to have adhered to.After repairing nail holes, sanding, etc I plan to use drywall primer. For this non-cooperating wall, if I use drywall compound and sand the uneven edges of the paint, can I use drywall primer on that wall as well? As in, can I use drywall primer over paint? DrywallEDIT to add pic. Wall on the left is completely done...20 minutes...wall on the right, not so much via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2MwMJzp
