First - I am an idiot. Allow me to get that out of the way.Rather than measure twice cut once, a recent strategy for me was:Buy (Pull-Up Bar with a mounting structure measuring 43")Measure Wall above Doorframe (37.5") -???Reddit DIY / ProfitCouple prerequisites: I have to install it in this location - after discussions with the wife, nothing else will do because she doesn't want to be associated with some sort of ape that installs a pull-up bar in a dining room. Such is life.https://i.redd.it/jaujrrisp8j11.jpgI still believe this is salvageable; I'm attaching an image of the situation with measurements but I want to hear what you might suggest are good options to address the issue.Based on my triangle math, I would need to somehow achieve a ~2.4" of distance off of the door frame to fit something that is 43" along the wall given the angle intersections. I have all of the tools to accomplish mounting some sort of structure above the doorframe upon which I can install the slag bolts which came with the pull-up bar. What suggestions might you offer so I can achieve the 2.4" distance off of the wall? Thanks in advance, reddit friends. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2wpGaFg
