Hello everyone, I am a college student and I am at the point where I want to start saving money for my own needs. In the sense, I am looking for a good way to save any excess money that I have in a separate account than my checking and savings are linked too. My parents have access to my savings and checking accounts (for school costs reasons). I want a “secret” way where I can store money that only I know about. I do not know how often I will be depositing into this account but I do not plan on extracting money more than once a year (max).
To sum up: I am looking for a good savings account without linking a checking account or having a monthly/ yearly fee. I just want a place I can keep my money safely, away from where my parents can see how much I have saved.
