Hey fellow redditors,
I am a 20-year old student living in Germany who has got some extra money on hand. I live a very minimalistic lifestyle and don't require much in clothing, tech, cars and other goods. Even though I have a lot of money saved, my brain always scolds me for my consumer choices and I dislike wasting money on redundant things. I don't know if this is an unhealthy predisposition... I either need to spend some money, or need a suitable option that allows me to put my money somewhere where I feel it is not just collecting dust. In spite of that, I am suspicious of free market capitalism and would like to invest into my future sustainably while retaining a clear conscience.
Currently lying on my bank account is 7500€ and 1500$ in cash. I have also got physical assets that, if liquidated, would get me around 1000€. Aditionally, I get a montly allowance of 500€ + I work a job that earns me around 350-450 € a month. Rent is at 165€ right now but will increase to roughly 350€ when I move in the next months (allowance might be raised due to this). I suspect a monthly accrual of around 400-500€
Is there any advice you can give me concerning my problem? One additonal thing I'd like to know is how to best convert the 1500$ in cash into €, without having to pay some tremendous fee.
Thank you guys and girls!
Greetings!
Edited for grammar.
