She likes diamonds. She likes vintage/antique settings. Obviously a good place to start is an estate jewelry shop, but can I do better?
From what I can tell, man-made diamonds from online places like Clean Origin or Mia Donna are half the price for identical GIAC ratings compared to mined diamonds. And as a bonus, you can be sure no one was harmed in their production. But where do you buy the settings for them? And what does it cost to get a diamond from one place installed in a setting from another place? Is it a good idea to go that way, or is there a better approach?
