I have already posted this over on /r/personalfinance.
I started betting on sports when I was 18 and now I am 21 and have maxed out my Wells Fargo credit card and Paypal credit as well and have worked up a $16,000 debt that I simply cannot repay. I am already meeting with a lawyer later this week. The only thing that is registered under my name is a car.
If anyone here has any experience with bankruptcy and has even filed for bankruptcy, then please share everything. I need all the information possible.
Edit: I forgot to mention in this post, but replied to /u/pm_me_construction that I have stopped gambling for a couple of months and have been going to meetings and told everyone around me about this issue. And now we are all working on deciding how to tackle this debt.
