Hello /r/DIYI hope this is the right sub to ask, but my fiancée and moved into our apartment, and it’s somewhat old (built in the 70s I think). We have an outdoor closet under our upstairs neighbors staircase, and it’s in pretty bad shape. Smells mildew-y, completely full of cobwebs, rust, flaking paint, horrible condition pipes, etc. Also, the seal on the door is horrible, and has this obtrusive and odd pipe going through it.My question is, what’s the best way to clean this thoroughly? Like remove the musty mildew smell, clean out the cobwebs, clean up the peeling paint, seal the door better, etc? I know to some this may be a straight forward way for some, but I’m not sure how to approach it. Would it be better to use an air compressor to blow it out, or try vacuuming it up or try dusting it with a swiffer duster, or something else? If anyone has had any experience cleaning out and redoing an outside, run down space like this, let me know how you dealt with it. Pics: https://ift.tt/2vSvs9n via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2vTr5uO
