Hey guys,

I am a young person whom acquired a non business/finance/econ bachelors degree (healthcare administration) but have a desire to work in Financial Planning and possibly Investment Management.

I currently work for an investment firm that strictly deals in commodities (no securities) so I am getting general experience down in the field.

I need to know the best way to go (ie: most effective route when considering costs and time spent being educated) in order to achieve a Masters Degree and sit, understand, and pass the CFP, CFA, various securities license tests and other suggested designations.

I am from Southern California. A local educational course for the CFP is easy to come by. For example, the UCLA financial planning certification r/http://business.uclaextension.edu/personal-financial-planning/. I am hoping to have that pre-requisite filled by also attaining a Masters Degree. I am unsure whether I should do an MBA with a focus on Finance, a MSBA in Financial & Tax Planning, Masters in Finance (MFA) or go some other direction I am not privy too.

This may be a bit long winded and confusing, please let me know if I need to clarify anything. I am using this as a sort of general reach out to knowledgeable folks. Thank you

:]
