I’ve just bought a house and one of the rooms is painted a deep red colour. That simply has to change before I move in!At the moment I have more time than money, so I’d like to do it myself. I’ve had plenty of experience painting, but only ever a similar colour. From what I’ve read, I’ll need to prime it, possibly with a grey primer or sealer? To stop the red bleeding through. Does the grey have to be matched to the particular shade of red? And is it possible to use a water based primer?I went into the local hardware shop and they recommended a Dulux product that promises two coats onto cover any colour, (Dulux wash n wear super hide) I’m a little skeptical about this and have read a few negative reviews on line. It’s quite expensive, I’d be happy to fork out though, if it’ll do the job...Any other tips or tricks that might help? I’m in Australia if that makes any difference.Thanks. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2ACZbJ3
