I was shocked to see that my weekly paycheck had been shorted nearly $100. I knew that a new health insurance was kicking in but I was use to it. I had been with the same company for 10 years and I started a family and have a wife and 3 year old kid. For the last 3 years my health insurance has been about $50 a week. Today I found out the new health insurance comes out to $150 A WEEK. I called Human Resources and they said the switches from “age banded” to “composite?” I still am not sure what that means. She said something along the lines of “age banded” means I would pay more in the long run as I get older and grow my family while going with composite means my rate would stay the same regardless of growing family or age... either way I didn’t budget for an extra $400 a month in health insurance.

TLDR; paycheck was $100 short because of new health insurance thing company decided to go with. Is this normal from going $50 a week for the last 3 years to suddenly get bumped $150 a week. It really does hurt.
