Hi everyone, I have a question that I can't seen to find the answer to. I have a small yard in the city, I think our lot is 1/10 of an acre, so pretty small. I have a little vegetable garden way out back, and I think it looks really nice. It provides a decent amount of veggies every year, but to be honest, I'd like to be able to grow more. I have plenty of space for a larger garden so that's not the problem.

The issue is that I would like to sell this house someday and I don't know what a large vegetable garden would do to the value of the home. I don't think most people would be thrilled with a year that was 1/2 vegetable garden. They're in nice raised beds, but veggie garden really aren't too pretty, especially as the season wears on.

So what do you all think is the smart move financially: having a larger veggie garden or getting more money for the house later? Or maybe you have a different opinion of the effect of gardens on home value?
