I will be transferring to a university from community college this upcoming semester. I submitted my application on the fafsa.gov website. It asked for my parent's tax return but they didn't file them. It gave me the option to fill it out based on the previous year's income, since their income did not change. I submitted it and I got a notification that it was accepted and satisfied. I sent this information to my university and patiently waited for 2 months to get a status. They recently reached out and said my fafsa application is not satisfied because my parent's tax return is not on file. Classes start in less than 2 weeks. What should I do?
