So I have this monitor (aoc 2236SWA), I just tried turning down the brightness and found out that the power consumption is decreased by 20 watts from full brightness to minimum brightness. the good thing is that I barely notice the difference watching videos. it is a little bit noticeable though when reading text. disclaimer, though, that i found this out using the digital electric meter outside the house and not by a portable watt meter
