Thought I'd see if anyone has any other suggestions. Here's a few pics... https://ift.tt/2LNqDF2 (mostly). Whoever did original taping did poorly. I'm thinking they forgot a second or third layer of mud on the tape, then just put texturizer on it which seemed to cover the tape at first so they left it & painted (whole house seems to be a poor taping job). The fix?If I can peel off any tape, do so & replace. If I can get any mud underneath the old tape, do so.Retape with mesh tape (what I use). Then finish with at least 3 coats of mud. Prime & paint.Use a lightweight mud due to ceiling application.Any other ideas? I don't want cracks to reappear in a year. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2uN4i44
