My old keyboard was a Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000 I bought used, and the one before that was a new one of the same model. I don't like Microsoft software, but their hardware is top notch. Don't buy used computer keyboards, though: you gotta feel the keys beforehand. Today I purchased another Microsoft keyboard, the Wired 600. It's smaller and has softer keys. I use the Emacs and the i3 tiling manager, which means that I truly use all my keys in every combination possible, so it's nice to have all the keys easily available. But I'll keep the old one if I want to give my hands more space sometimes :P

I also bought a new mousepad with wrist support. That's essential if you spend 12 hours a day in front of a computer. The old was literally crumbling. I also needed batteries. All this cost 28.54 dollars (converted from Brazilian Real). I could have spent much more if I wanted, but that was honestly the best gift I could have given myself. I'll go to a restaurant with my friends tonight, and won't spend more than 25 dollars there.

I wasn't even really trying to be frugal, but I don't see the point of the markup for every wireless computer accessory. I have nothing against the technology itself, but, for 60% less, I can live with a small cable I don't even see most of the time.
