The growth had been unsustainable from what I can tell with my limited perspective. I bought a house for $485,000 in February of 2016. Someone a few houses down bought one for $545,000 at the end of 2017, same model home. Zillow said my house is worth $596,000, and they don't know about the $15,000 of upgrades I put in.
