Looking for some help on what to do....
Brief back story: I live in Nunavut Canada, groceries are so damn expensive I have to order my groceries from down “south” (Ontario/Quebec). I’ve been ordering with the grocery store since September 2018. Been regular ordering, roughy on a biweekly basis, was given regular invoices and gladly paid them
This company (Marche Central) Marche Central has now emailed me out of the blue saying this;
Mr. *** we have processed the following payments on your credit card today for cargo freight not charged on your invoices by error. Here is a list of payment and invoices
118.90$ invoice # 173286 to adjust invoice # 172850 dated sept 26,2017
190.87$ invoice # 173287 to adjust invoice # 172880 dated oct 10, 2017
106.39$ invoice # 173288 to adjust invoice # 172886 dated oct 17, 2017
53.19$ invoice # 173289 to adjust invoice # 172908 dated oct 24, 2017
78.23 $ invoice # 173290 to adjust invoice # 172929 dated nov 07, 2017
We still have to adjust the following invoices :

172951 dated nov 21, 2017
172973 dated dec 05, 2017
172989 dated dec 12, 2017
173015 dated jan 09, 2018
173038 dated jan 23, 2018
173072 dated feb 06, 2018

The approximate $ value still to adjust is around 2300.00$+ tax included. We will advise you when the other payments will be processed on your account
Sorry again for the inconvenience but we have to recover the cargo freight not charged on these invoices.

I was unfortunately on vacation when I received this email and was using my visa for my entire trip. So I was not able to cancel my card to stop these payments.
I called my bank and they told me I have to cancel my card and there was no way to stop the payments before they started. So I had to tough it out and let this grocery store charge my credit card for $2,800 (not $2,300 as the mentioned in the email)
Once I payed for the remained of my vacation. I called and cancelled my card. My bank then said I could report this is fraud. As I did.
I’m now concerned that I won’t get my money back. I’ve tried to call the numbers they have given in the email with no answer. I can’t leave a message as this company only speaks French, sadly I can not. AND NOW their website, where I order from is “temporary out of service” I am not the only person who is being affected in my community
I did not sign any paperwork or agree to any terms and conditions.
This company just decided to back charge on every order I completed since September last year
I’m looking for any help/advice on what to do!
