All I want is a simple, sturdy bookcase to hold my books, but apparently that's damn near impossible to find anymore.
I've checked:
- Amazon
- Overstock
- Wayfair
- Big Lots
- Home Depot
- Walmart
- A dozen local furniture stores
And everything I've found so far falls pretty much into three categories:
- Cheap MDF garbage with shelves rated for barely 25 lbs.
- Moderately priced free-standing decorative shelving that's not really designed for holding books.
- $700+ wooden monstrosities straight out of the 70s.
Help me /r/BuyItForLife, you're my only hope.
