I applied MinWax high build clear semi-gloss polyurethane over Olympic interior oil-based wood stain, and it's been about 20 - 24 hours after application of the polyurethane and I find that I can still scrape it off in certain areas without too much effort. Does the polyurethane need more time to dry?- I applied it on a table that sat outside for the past two days while I was working on it because there is no room in the house to do it, and northern Virginia has had a major heat spell the past month, accompanied by fairly high humidity, would this affect the final result of the polyurethane?- The polyurethane wasn't brand new, it was some odd 5 to 8 years old when I brought it out of the shed and the top layer had dried and rubberized, which I took as a bad sign but went ahead anyway as all the poly below the surface layer seemed normal to me.This is my first time applying wood stain and polyurethane to a project, so help and also future advice is super appreciated, thanks very muchAlso I apologize if the flair isn't correct via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2LnHyB2
