Was looking at framing my basement, it’s just a storage/pet area so won’t be fully finished but would like to seperate it up a bit. I was going to put pressure treated wood down as a bottom seal straight to the concrete then build the studs between however I’ve seen a few guides saying I should install some vapour barrier plastic or a sub floor product (The dimpled plastic stuff) under so that should we get water issues in the future it will simply run underneath. Is this needed? Most basements I’ve seen has just been PT lumber straight to the floor however the logic makes sense having something underneath so if in future I put down a subfloor it can all be tied in via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2zRMiug
