I figured I would share my experience of price matching an online price from a website other than the Home Depot website. I found the item (name brand tool) on a reputable website for $20 less than Home Depots in store price. The policy on their website says they will match an online price but they will not take the extra 10% off. At the service desk the first person gave me a blatent we don't do that. I persisted and the next person asked if it was their website. I told her no as well. Their interpretation was the online price match only worked with the Home Depot website prices. I said that's not what I understood their policy as. So then they got a supervisor who gave it the go ahead and informed the employees that they do honor the price matches. So if you ever try to get a price match at Home Depot be persistent, I just think the staff isn't properly trained in the policy.
