Hello!

I'm looking for some advice on acquiring passive income for personal use. I have a Roth 401k with my employer that is doing fine- but now that I am out on my own and my income exceeds my expenses, I will have ~$500/mo to store away. I'm interested in learning how to invest but I'm not sure what would be the best options for me.

I'm currently 22, and I'm not looking for "quick cash" but for attractive growth over a short-term period of 3-5 years alongside with some longer term investments that coincide with my 401k being a longer term investment of 10-20 years.

For some reason I have an obsession with wanting to place my funds in different areas and watching them grow instead of just placing them in stocks. Or just placing them in a single savings account.

My goals are to be able to trade my time for money with work, while also being able to work my additional funds up to bring money in to live a more complimentary and comfortable lifestyle.
