After about a month of research on and off, I finally decided to invest my money into vanguard index funds. It took around another month for vanguard to finally open my account, there where a ton of system errors on my account and paperwork kept getting sent back for one reason or another.
But today was the day, I pulled the trigger and invested. My current allocation is:
Total Stock Market 44ish%
Total International Stock 28ish%
Total Bond Market 28ish%
My allocation isn't exactly where I want it to be right now, but its the way I had to make it because of the vanguard minimums. I plan on investing a good chunk more in the next two weeks once I move some more money into vanguard. I also plan on making monthly payments into this account. I also might expand into a few other funds in the coming months once I do little more research.
I just want to say thanks to everyone, although I just lurked, you guys where still a big help in all of this.
