Our roof has 2 layers of shingles. It's failing in some areas and I'm considering replacement myself (Or at least doing tearoff myself). I have been researching and there are some areas I am unsure about.Forgive me if I use the wrong terminology. It looks like the eaves extend past the roof below creating very tight spots that I don't see how to properly get at to replace the underlayment and shingles. The fascia board rest directly on the shingles below and there is some deterioration on them from this.Is this normal practice? Any tips on how to replace the roofing in these areas? How should I fix this so that it isn't prone to rotting the fascia boards?Lastly, I'd could use advice on perimeter eaves. There is no fascia board, the rafters are hidden by gutters which are bracketed directly to the roof sheathing. My understanding is that there should be underlayment here, followed by kickout flashing. Am I right in thinking that the way it is now is hazardous? Advice on how to best resolve this?Link to photos: https://ift.tt/2N8ITsU you in advance for any advice. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2KOyPsg
