We are moving from a tiny one-bedroom apartment to a much larger two-bedroom home. We will bring all of our current furniture but will need to buy multiple pieces to furnish this place. It is also completely concrete floors - so we will need rugs. What are some things to do to keep our prices down in this transition?
My general strategy is to see how much I can find from friends and family wanting to change out their furniture. We’ve already gotten a bedroom set from my coworker this way. (It’s a little dated but solid wood, dresser, nightstand, and headboard for $100.)
