Anyone ever gone abroad for medical tourism?
I own a small business here in the US and even though it's going well, I don't have health insurance because it's very expensive and I don't qualify for any sort of aid. Plus, traveling is fun..
I am wanting medical assessments, lab testing with urine/blood, diagnostic imaging, and an endoscopy to check my GI system as I have had acid reflux for many years. Basically, the works.
I'm looking for suggestions and information on country/hospital/pricing/specific doctors/experiences/etc. Whatever info you can provide will be much appreciated!
I have basically narrowed it down to Costa Rica or Thailand. Which one is better? How much should I be spending on all of this, minus my flights, hotels, and meals? Planning to book my flights by end of week and leave in about a month.
