Hi folks. After our long lasting discussion from last week and reading reviews from many sites and personal experiences you shared in the other thread i finally made a move.
I went with this Hamilton Beach device model 04386A.
The reasoning for getting this item goes as follow :
- Good reviews and good testimonies so far, looks like it can hold for a while.
- I only have a single room right now to purifie, and its small size will allow it to be moved around easily when i'll have more rooms to purify
- Cleanable HEPA filters instead of replaceable ones means it'll cost less (one final cost instead of adding up costs) and it's ecoresponsible, less trash is always a plus imo.
- Form factor is rad, i like the idea of having it either flat out or tower (like a playstation lol).
- (supposedly) very quiet, but they all say that.
- The price is right.
- In general i am satisfied with other Hamilton Beach products, their build quality is sufficient for my liking. I feel like it's a safe bet.
The 'upgrade' in the line (model 04384) has special pet filters for pet odors but replaceable filters therefore i went for the one without the feature. Also, you can't have it in black.
I'll let you know in a decade if it was a good BIFL pick ;)
