I found this article for a playfort that we want to build for our son. I was planning on following the instructions they provided, but to use pressure treated wood instead of just kiln dried due to our climate. I'm looking at using pressure treated so that it lasts a while and I won't need to be staining it every year or two to keep it from rotting. Where I live, the winters are pretty rough and we get a fair amount of rain in the summer. What I'm wondering is if the 4x4 posts in this plan will be strong enough with the extra weight of the pressure treated boards. I'm leaning towards using 6x6 instead or adding more 4x4 posts in the center of the sides. Will the added weight of the pressure treated make these plans unsafe? Going the kiln dried and stain route is an option too, I'd likely just use pressure treated for the floor and posts then.https://ift.tt/2mKWFGO tips for this upcoming project would be great appreciated! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2v7YmlA
