I am wanting to move out of home again and I am wondering how much I should look at spending on rent per week.
I work the same hours every week, and earn $655 after tax. My bills are currently just $45 a month phone bill, and $50 a week fuel to and from work. I currently drive 45 minutes each way to work and am looking to move within 10 minutes of work, which will obviously reduce fuel costs too.
I have lived out of home for 2 years previously with roommates. During this time I paid $110 a week rent and only received $260 a week income from centrelink as I was studying and not working.
I have been looking at moving in with roommates again but I don’t know how much I should be willing to spend a week. Also I have found a few options where I can live alone however they are around $250 a week, bills included. Is this too much?
