r/skateboarding doesn't allow questions so asking here looking for someone with experience. I'm refurbishing an old skateboard deck and painting it for my gf. It's all sanded down now, painting in a couple of days, and I'm covering the paint job with laquer to preserve it. Should I laquer the top also where I'm applying the griptape? The adhesive on the tape is incredibly strong, so I'm wondering if it would adhere best straight on the wood or the laquer. I fear that the tape could rip the laquer off the wood (that it sticks harder to the laquer than the laquer does to the wood...)Any diy thoughts? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2umlAox
