Over the past year I've heard plenty of people worry about the market crashing, hard. Other people thing a recession is more likely. Anyhow, I'm not interested in debating whether it is realistic, most of us are aware stocks grow in the long run. I'm simply curious about what someone would do to benefit from a market downturn. Short positions are obviously an option, but are there stocks that would thrive on a downturn? Hopefully this thread will help people new to investing, not everyone knows being bearish is an option.
