This is my first post here. I searched "casual hourglass" and didn't see anything. I'd really appreciate some direction!

I'm a size 12 (down from a size 20 - I'm working on it!) hourglass. I'm excellent at business and eveningwear, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to dress casual. I'm always either overdressed or I'm in workout clothes.

I'm a fulltime student and I'd like to go back this semester with some sense of how to dress casual but still flattering for my body type. Stores that cater to college students have clothes designed for thin, rectangular women without curves and it all looks terrible on me. I also don't like to be frumpy and tend to shy away from t-shirts and jeans. I love my curves and I highly prefer clothing made for people with definable waistlines and hips. When I try on things that my peers would wear I look boxy and feel disgusting.

When I window shop, the clothes that I like and that look good on me are crazy expensive, which just makes finding flattering casual clothes that I can buy even more difficult because I have a tight budget. I'd really appreciate any advice on finding flattering, frugal casualwear that would be appropriate for school.
