x-post from: https://www.reddit.com/r/HealthInsurance/comments/92g2g0/i_accidentally_lost_my_health_insurance_im_scared/:

I'm 25. I was quit my previous job before realizing I had a serious chronic condition. As soon as I quit, I signed up for COBRA, then began making my payments. I entered a physical rehab program that is very expensive, but thankfully I had insurance. This month, I am not sure what happened, but my payment did not go through and now I've received a letter saying my insurance has been terminated and cannot be reinstated. I'm so scared - my rehab program was so expensive... I have some savings, but I won't be able to cover a high 5 figure bill out of pocket. I am still unemployed, but actively looking for work and nearing a final offer that will include insurance. What should I do in the meantime?
