Somebody over on WSB made $450k on facebook puts. Total beginner at investing.
Is this just a one off rare occasion that people win this big? Is it the equivalent of winning the lottery? How could anybody predict this fall with more than 50% confidence and buy $64k worth of puts? It doesn't make sense to me. I guess I am not a big fish yet because I can't gamble $64k on roulette style investing but it seems these types of risks are the only way people are actually making good money.
