I am trying to paint the pool and cannot get the main drain area to dry out. There is so much ground water pressure that even when the plugs are in, water keeps seeping into the pool. At first I thought it was water coming through the plugs (so I changed them) but later noticed that the water also comes in around the seal of the main drain fixture.Whenever I pull out the plug, it is a water fountain / geyser that refills the pool.I have resorted to emptying the pool with a submersible pump every couple of days. I empty the water directly into the sewer on my street. Is there an end in sight?I bought some marine caulking but am hesitant to apply it due to the relentless water pressure. The marine caulking instructions indicate a need for 12 hours of dryness before subjecting the surface to water.I am not even sure if my property has a French drain (or blocked if there is one).Any thoughts? Thanks ! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2L3uKg4
