For a while I've been debating whether or not to get a fitness tracker (probably the Fitbit Alta HR). This is due to my previous watch breaking and it being beyond the scope of repair. I'd also like to be able to monitor how many steps I take because, let's face it, I'm a lazy slug 99% of the time!
The problem for me though is that I'm also trying to reduce my screen time so that I can be more deconnected - to live a simpler life really. I'm worried that having a digital thingymbob nearly permanently strapped to my wrist will not help this at all. Unlike a normal watch, there are options to swipe and scroll which to me feels too much like a smartphone.
Do any of you use a fitness tracker? Do you think that it overcomplicates life? Please feel free to let me know your thoughts!
