I’m roughly following the guidelines from a “Family Handyman” link on google, but it doesn’t address what to do when the span is greater than 8’ or 16’ - how do I properly frame that?Should I just build in 8’ sections and at each joint have a pair of 2x4 studs abutting each other? This is against a full concrete wall. Also, what’s best practice for insulating against a subterranean wall? The FH article says to glue up some 3/4” pink foam, and frame on top of that. Should I just use more foam between the studs? Or just standard fiberglass insulation? Nothing? What about in the ceiling (room above is the kitchen)? The room has no windows, and will ultimately be a play room/theater/art space. Thanks! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2JoIf87
