So we found a nice cabinet in a used furniture store last weekend and I'll be trying to clean it this week. It has these drop pull knobs that have a plate behind them. They look gold or brass. I tested with a magnet today to see what type of metal it could be. The magnet stuck to the plate, but did not stick to the drop pull. It almost felt like it was trying to push away from the drop pull but I'm not that sure if it really was or not. They're pretty beat up and have spots that look black on them. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on how to clean the drop pulls.
TLDR; sorry I can't really identify the drop pulls any better than they look gold or brass and don't react to a magnet/the magnetic may have been pushing away from the pull.
