Hello,I'd like to make a small remote control with very basic features. It should have several physical buttons, have a small-ish form factor (about the size of an average smartphone) and the button presses should launch scripts on my computer. I would use it to play sound effects, start music or show images on a screen during pen and paper RPG sessions that I DM for. A smartphone won't do it because I'd need to see the screen whereas with physical buttons I can conceal it while storytelling and weave it seamlessly into the narration. I know some python and have some soldering skills. Does anyone have any idea that would help me get started? I was thinking of a raspberry pi zero on top of which I would make a circuit board with buttons (no idea how to do this) and then find a way to 3d print a case. This would be my first DIY project after googling to see if this existed commercially and coming up empty. Thanks in advance! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2z2FU2T
