Now i understand we can't all afford a new car, but it's something to at least think about IMO. I drove a 98 civic until recently and got a newer Civic after getting a new job so I've been there, but one reason I upgraded was the newer safety features that have been developed over the past two decades. (This is just my reposted comment but i was inspired to make a thread). It probably bothers me more when I see someone talking about a cheap car for their kid.
