Apologies if something like this has been posted but I am having so much fun with this that I had to share.
My library offers several electronic resources that you can use with your library card on your home PC or mobile device, including Flipster to access lots of current magazines and newspapers. They also have Overdrive to check out e-books and other resources.
In my case, I had to download my library's app and the Flipster app to my Android device. I logged in on my library's app, then clicked on Flipster and got access to a well-designed database where I could read, and download for later reading, tons of magazines, including those that have paywalls on their websites.
Finally, seeing my taxes at work on something actually worthwhile. Gotta run now, back to the June issue of Vanity Fair. Hope this helps other frugal souls!
