Just bought a new house and so far only one internet provider available that provides Fiber internet. Catch is, they do not allow people to get only the fiber - you must also pay for a landline. I have tried negotiating back and forth and they are pretty adamant about this, we MUST get the landline to get internet as well. Something about the telephone company requirements.
The prices aren’t too bad so we don’t mind having to get both, I guess what is annoying is that the landline is essentially going to waste.
Does anyone have any ideas for how we can make use of the landline? Husband and I both have cell phones with unlimited plans and use of landline does charge couple cents/min so makes more sense to use cells for calls. Is there anything I’m overlooking or would it be best just to leave the landline unused?
