When a co-lessee on a property dies suddenly, are the other co-lessees immediately responsible for the decedent's part of the rent payment? In other words, is the other lessee immediately responsible for the full payment? Is there a grace period of any kind?

How is debt handled? Specifically, student loan debt where there is another co-signer, and a car loan debt where the decedent is the only signer. Do the next-of-kin inherit the debt? Is there any forgiveness provision to student loan debt?
