This seems like it should be a really simple question and answer but I have googled and googled and I'm not getting anywhere. I have one nice new window in my garage with a hole for the tumble dryer hose (photo ) and one basic vent kit for that hole (photo, and it's this one on Amazon )The problem is, the vent kit won't fit the window because it is double-glazed. I figured I could just buy another one, or some sort of extension, but googling is getting me either this same basic kit, or a bunch of stuff for going through walls. What am I missing? Is there an extra part I can buy, or do I need a whole new kit, and if so, what keywords should I be using? Searching for variations on "dryer vent window kit double glazing" just isn't getting me anything useful. I keep finding vent covers that need to be attached with screws, but I can't do that with the window. The kit I have is supposed to fit together with the pieces attaching to themselves - but they can't actually reach each other because of the thickness of the glass.Any help appreciated! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2kRw8qr
