In my life I've run the full range of the financial spectrum and right now i'm doing very well and it has led to some rather poor spending habits.

I'm keto and I generally only eat one meal a day (at dinner) so that leaves my lunch break open to run errands. That often means going shopping for stuff I don't really need. Wandering around the grocery store and finding neat things to cook when there is plenty of food at home, going clothes shopping, justifying buying a new pair of gym shoes because the old ones were looking a little ratty (But still functional).

On monday I took inventory of my kitchen and realized I had enough meat and vegetables to feed my wife and I through at least friday, and we had plenty of the necessities like toilet paper, paper towels, detergent, etc. I wanted to see if it was possible for us to go one week without spending any money at all.

This is day 4 and it's the longest I've gone without spending money in years. No amazon impulse purchases, no treats or indulgences, nothing. It's honestly freeing.

Thank you, Frugal!
