Hi! I’m a young college student with just a Chase checking account. Right now there’s around $1,000 in it, and that’s all the money I have. I feel like my friends are always talking about having no money at all to do things with, like “I can’t get lunch because I only have $5 in my account”, even though they’re working way more than me. I’m assuming they’re putting money in savings? I have always been very anxious about money, and the idea of not having any scares me a lot. Should I make a savings account through Chase? Or is it perfectly ok to just live through my checking?? My parents aren’t good with money at all and my mom thinks there’s no point in getting a savings account. Any advice??
