So, after purchasing a brand new dinner set of 16 items last September from Myer, I’ve already lost 3 cereal bowls, 1 dinner plate, 1 side plate, and 1 pasta bowl. Two of the items were lost to dropping into the sink, and the rest were lost due to cracking upon contact with hot food. Like, I put some rice in a cereal bowl and it cracked, and soup in one, and so forth. They were stonewear, I don’t know if this makes a difference as I didn’t research before..
Anyways, I’m looking into getting a set that will not crack due to the warmth of food, and can withstand a clumsy hand now and again. I don’t care if they are microwave or dishwasher safe, as I don’t use either.
As for Corelle - are they durable as people say? And, I’ve seen that they sell them at Target Australia - are they durable coming from there (ie they aren’t compromised in durability to be sold at a lower price)?
